all pictures taken in a timeframe of 5 minutes and 14 seconds. amazing how many different uniforms you see. i mean i skipped all the school uniforms i saw. just the staff that i passed on the way to the metro.

uli…. do you still need a megaphon?

close to the office is a very nice area of tokyo. the first time i thought okay maybe living in tokyo is possible. i found some nice shops and caffes… somebody going to tokyo should def. look for a hotel there!!! i guess also for going out it is a good place.

hihi nice…. a beauty saloon…

hide from futurelab told me i should visit his office in tokyo, what i did. the office is in a nice district of tokyo in ikejiri – west of shibuya. well a company rented a old high school and is renting classrooms to other companies. a lot of them related to media and art.

this is hides friend taizo, who introduced me there. really nice guy. unfortunately i came late and he had to leave early so we didnt meet for sooo long, but maybe next time.

and his small office

i met shiho from lessrain she is very nice ad invited me for having a drink in the night, but i had to leave tokyo. next time in tokyo i definetly will go there again to have some more time there….

says more than 1000 pictures

back to tokyo again, this time icc was not closed so i went there and by incident i met one guy from the cherry blossom party with ichiro. he had a meeting with the curator of icc and he introduced me to her. she said she is interested in seeing some of my works. so next time in tokyo maybe i can meet her. well to the exhibition. i saw christa and laurents work which is an installation in the entrance hall. i didnt really understand it because everything was in japanese. only very basic information was provided in english. thumbs down icc.

this installation “juggler” from gregory barsamian was very impressive. a huge ringelspiel that has 16 frames of an animation as parts. the whole things starts to turn and in a certain speed the animation is playing. watch and enjoy.

famous tenori-on from toshio iawai was also there. i have seen it at ars before. i love it. really nice tool.

i also liked this installation very much. you get a card with a number written on it an you have to pass gates to make arithmetic calculations. the aim is to reach 73. then you are allowed to leave the arithmetik garden from masahiko sato and takashi kiriyama. after leaving succesfully you get a receipt with your path and time. very nice and simple thing.

after icc we went to see yokohama. actually we went to see one building…. i was with architects ;-)
